NOTE: Boundary Commission can approve to petition and boundary as submitted,
or approve the petition with changes to the boundary, or deny the petition.
If either approval above is determined by Boundary Commission, they will call for
the election of 5 Charter Commissioners from within the final village boundary.
Charter Commissioners are nominated from within the proposed village.
5 Charter Commissioners are elected
60 days (during which the charter commissioners should hold public meetings and
conduct a survey to gauge what the citizens want in the charter similar to what the
townships currently do)
Charter is voted on in one of the four elections each year.
If the Charter is adopted by the voters
The Village of Gun Lake is created.
If the Charter is voted down
Charter Commissioners re-write charter and re-submit to the public
for a vote.

Resubmission process continues until charter is adopted.
If charter is not adopted within 2 years of first charter vote, the process
is ended without a village.
